"FRIENDS OF THE BRAHMASTHAN"

A committee was formed about six years ago to aid in the development of Maharishi Central University on The Brahmasthan of The United States. Recently, the Committee Members have been campaigning to expand and will henceforth be referred to as "Friends of the Brahmasthan". There is no hierarchy and no financial obligation. There are no "meetings" to attend. All are welcome to join. Meditators, non-meditators, yogic flyers, men, women, and children. The single requirement is:

“The problems of America will disappear,
as darkness disappears with the onset of light”

“When you are lighting a lamp, it is not necessary to talk much about it—you simply light the lamp and the darkness disappears,” Maharishi said. “In the same way, under the leadership of Dr. Hagelin, real peace will quietly emerge on all levels of national life. Three functions of the World Capital of Peace to make America invincible

In his keynote address, Dr. Hagelin outlined the three central functions of the World Capital of Peace, which will make the nation invincible. Dr. Hagelin said the World Capital of Peace will serve as

1. A coherence-creating center for a group of several hundred peace-creating experts who will enliven the Constitution of the Universe and promote integrated national consciousness—the basis of prevention-oriented, problem-free administration
2. A teaching center to train a new generation of leaders in Unified-Field based political science to prevent problems and promote life in harmony with natural law in all areas of society
3. A broadcast center to radiate the world-transforming knowledge and programs of the US Peace Government via satellite and Internet webcast to the whole population

Dr. Hagelin also explained the significance of establishing the World Capital of Peace in the Brahmasthan of the U.S. “According to the ancient Vedic science of architecture in harmony with Natural Law, the center point of a building, a city, or an entire nation is a powerful, strategic point characterized by dynamic silence. The Capital of World Peace will take natural advantage of this strategic point to produce the maximum influence of peace and positivity, which will radiate out—like the rays of the sun—across the entire country,” Dr. Hagelin said.

*Government and Collective Consciousness*

*MAHARISHI*:   ... governments are ignorant of their own value because, because, because __ thousand times underline the word because—they are run by the collective consciousness of the nation. Government is governed by the collective consciousness of the nation.

If we want the government to do better, we can't ask the government to be better, we can't teach the government, because governments always do according to the quality of collective consciousness of the nation.

That is why our inauguration in this family of parliament, is not a parliament representative of governments, it is a parliament of the people of the country who are not run by collective consciousness. They are influenced by collective consciouses, but solely they are not run by

collective consciousness.

But the government as such is solely governed by the collective consciousness of the nation. Therefore the conclusion is, whatever a government does, only that a government can do.

So, we are not inaugurating this field of economy for the government, no. Government will be the beneficiary of this. But the thing to be done is by the people. And our winning point is, just a few people (yogic flyers) in the country will change the quality of collective consciousness in the

nation and that will change the government....
