Time Flies on the Brahmasthan

We've had two full moons and a new moon since the last posting...
The last six weeks or so have been incredibly busy with several highlights.
On July 3rd, we celebrated Guru Purnima by being together at the Farm, expressing our friendship and gratitude for the knowledge.

Most recently, Christopher Bell, of Fairfield, Iowa, was our honored guest. His visit brought the superradiance numbers to five! A short time after his arrival, the temperatures dropped well-below 100 for the first time in four weeks. Thank you, Chris!

Organic, Sustainable, Surviving the Drought
In between visits with other "Friends of the Brahmasthan", we continue to work on renovating our modest home and maintaining the integrity of the program and the long-term goals here in Kansas. After several hours of physical activity, Mitch & I are fortunate enough that a short walk to the community pool allows us to have a nice cool down... early to bed, early to rise, life goes on here @BOA with few distractions.

NBA PLAYOFFS

Another New Moon occurred this morning around 10 a.m. The next Full Moon will celebrate Guru Purnima.

June is Basketball Camp Month for high schools all over the country and we are currently in Fairfield while Mitch conducts the summer camps for MSAE Boys. He's been watching the JV boys improve, mature, & enjoy. The NBA Finals are on-going this month as well. Miami Heat (2) and OKC (1) are playing the 4th game tonight. In the evenings, on "game night", we head down to The Rock to watch the 1st quarter... make our predictions, then to bed at 8:45... very exciting.

Mitch is on the IA Course again this month and it's been good for the Brahmastan as everyone asks about life in Kansas. He loves to speak of Program at the Center of North America, the center of the storm... the stairway to heaven.

I've been enjoying visiting my family, friends and taking care of personal property here in Fairfield... I say, "one third of life is Maintenance... that's eight hours per day... J'ai Visnavaya! We'll be in Smith Center by GP if all goes well... I hear the furnishings have been sent to the Peace Palace on the Brahmastan... slow and steady.

New Moon & Solar Eclipse May 20, 2012

Today begins the third month of creating a personal vastu (homestead) in Smith Center, Kansas... located within a few miles of the Brahmastan of America and Maharishi Central University.

This week was very busy. Mitch and I installed a new entry door on the east side of our residence. There are few windows on the eastern side of the house and this door has a beautiful, working window that opens to allow fresh air. It eliminates the need for a screen door and allows what is now the formal entry to be well-lit. I am proud that we amateurs were able to figure it out... neither one of us could have done it alone.

As today is Sunday, we honored the resting day by traveling out to the Peace Palace located north and east of us... about a 20 minute drive, the scenery is wide open and a delight to the heart. The winter wheat is growing well and and by full summer there will be miles of sunflower fields. The sky is huge here and very blue. Once one is out of the city limits, there is little to interfere with the night sky, though I have to admit, we are rarely on the road after dark... it is nearly full summer now and the sun is always with us.

When Mitch and I arrived at the Peace Palace, Gary and Frank were there waiting and we had a good lunch... I brought a pot of my chilly (chile) soup, Gary made his famous chapatis, Frank provided the Breyers Ice Cream, and Mitch provided the storytelling.

He told the story of our trip to Osborne, Kansas, the geodedic center of North America. Osborne is located 30 miles south of Smith Center. All certified surveyors use the point marked near Osborne to determine the location of every point on the Continent... this includes Canada and Mexico.

The Solar Eclipse is in progress now having reached Kansas City about 7:30 p.m.... should be here within the hour...

Earth Day & Second New Moon on the Brahmastan

Mitch and I arrived on April 9th. We've been very busy preparing our new home for visitors. Mitch has spent six years on the IA course and continues a long program daily, here at home or at the peace palace. He, along with myself, Gary & Frank, are the four siddhas who now reside here on the BOA.

Gary, the caretaker and organic farm manager has visited us here in Smith Center. He supervises the Peace Palace & Farm nearly 15 miles north of our home. He insures that the ground remains organic and plans the crops, maintaining the organic certification of the land. It is his effort here, along with long-time permanent resident, Frank, that sustains the function and inevitable growth of the Brahmastan of North America. Thank you.
